About the teacher:
Damian started dancing Tango in 2003, learning from the most remarkable teachers of the Tango Nuevo style. Gaston Torelli, Pablo Retamar y Anita Monteagudo, Karo Pizzo, Raul Masiocchi were some of the teachers that influenced his vision on Tango: an analytical point of view to understand the structure of this dance, the resources to improvisation and the nature of the movement. Later on, he focused more in Tango Salon style, by the hand of incredible masters, such as Sebastian Achaval, Daniel Nacucchio, Facundo Pineyro and Vanesa Villalba, Mario Morales, Pancho Martinez Pey, Ruben and Sabrina Veliz, among many others. During those years he got very inspired by Carlitos Perez: his simple idea of elegance, musicality and cadence in Tango.

Damian has been teaching around the world since 2014, touring in Denmark, Turkey, Italy, USA, France and Russia, among many other countries. He has also competed in several contest in Buenos Aires since 2010.

As a teacher himself, he focuses on helping his students developing body awareness, working on a simple but integral body technique applied to Tango dance. His goal is for students to achieve a comfortable and functional connection between the couple. He also cares about sharing movements and figures that can be used in the social context of a milonga, connecting the technical aspects of this dance with its essence, because Tango is a popular dance.

Weekend Intensive Spring 2019 by Tango2Be

Discover the key concepts of Argentine Tango with the best international teachers. Our Intensive weekend for Beginners consist of two meetings for a total of 6 hours where you will learn the basic steps and key concepts of this dance style. A team of young passionate teachers will be working with a reduced group of students for a suitable environment to explore this rich dance style in a fun, creative and engaging way.

Argentine Tango is widely danced all around the world by people of all genders, ages and nationalities. By learning this social dance you will gain the ability to connect with people from the most diverse backgrounds everywhere you travel, helping socializing in a new environment faster than you expected.

No previous dance experience or dance partner is needed, however, we will try to balance the amount of leaders and followers for this course and that is why we ask everybody to register in advance.

The course will be taught in English, with some Finnish and Spanish assisting the learning process.

What to wear:

No shoes are needed to attend this course, you can dance in socks or indoor sliding shoes. Comfortable clothes are needed during the warm up.

About Antonella:
Born in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, Antonella comes from a family of artists. Her love for dancing started when she was five years old, studying many disciplines such as ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, aerial dance, folk dances, musical, Stage tango and Salon. She worked in national festivals as a choreographer, touring in Europe with different Tango troupes until she started teaching, first with maestro Sebastian Arce and later with Santiago Castro. Her Tango school "Tango House" is based in Budapest, where she works with Fernando Galera and Csongor Kicsi.(https://www.facebook.com/tangohousebudapest/).
Antonella is a featured teacher at the online platform Tangomeet.com, where people learn Tango from few of the best teachers in the world. She is a demanding teacher but also very playful, clear and precise, her background as a technical dancer provides her of simple examples that students can follow easily, improving their dance effectively.
